The uncomfortable truth: your company culture is more important than any AI
The myth of "AI solves everything" In the past two years, we've heard that AI is the magic solution for business productivity. But the reality is simpler and, paradoxically, more complex.
Recent research from engineering leaders demonstrates something that the best managers already knew: a happy, aligned, and motivated team produces more results than a team that has the most advanced tools but feels lost or unmotivated.
Why does this happen? Think about it this way: you can give a worker the best AI on the market, but if they don't know what to use it for, if they don't trust the company's direction, or if they feel disposable, they'll never reach their potential. On the other hand, a small team with clear objectives, open communication, and genuine leadership can work miracles even with basic tools.
What it means in Latin America Many companies are rushing to implement ChatGPT or Claude without first asking themselves: does our team know how to use it? Do they trust that AI won't replace them? Do they have clarity about what tasks to automate?
The good news is that improving workplace culture is much cheaper than any software. It requires time, authentic leadership, and willingness to listen. It's less sexy than saying "we implemented AI agents," but it works.
AI without culture is a waste of money. AI with culture is an impact multiplier.

What does this mean for you?
Before investing in AI tools, invest in your team: clear communication, shared goals, and trust. AI will amplify what already works well; it won't fix what's broken.
